Piecemeal Table

Thomas Wold Piecemeal Table

I presented already some furniture from recycled materials, but I like this table very well: it’s constructed from several tables and a lot of other items!

Let’s see what I will do with the next piece of furniture that I need.
Perhaps a chair made from a lot of older chairs?
Well, I don’t think so ;-))

No-wax Batik

that artist woman No-wax Batik

What a wonderful idea: to batik reasonably priced with children without getting it dangerous for the little ones she simply uses washable (school) glue!
And what children can do, I can, too.
Very often ;-)))

By the way, she uses watered down acrylic colours to colour everything in.
Great!

Shortrow Spiral

knitting-and Shortrow Spiral

I like spirals – now I like rectangular ones, too ;-)
What I like especially at the short row spiral is the fact that you never have more stitches on the needle than the width of the stripes.
I can make it with normal double pointed needles (which I own in all sizes) and additionally I find the frequent back and forth less boring than knitting those immense long rows.
Here the spiral is part of an afghan but you can work it larger to make a (square) afghan from.
And personally I find the stripes a little too narrow, I’m sure that they can be knitted wider.
Well, let’s see.
;-)

Doesn’t this ‘A’ look great?
And where the ‘A’ comes from, you can find muuuch more :)

I don’t know yet what I will do with it apart from very personal Birthday cards, but I’m sure that I’ll come up with some idea ;-))

Bird from Plastic Straw

wikiHow Bird from Plastic Straw

The little bird looks cute, doesn’t it?

Well, perhaps something for the next party, perhaps together with the penguins and the swan.
Or am I cuckoo? ;-))

And if you don’t like this, you can definitely make other beautiful things from your drinking straw ;-)
