Foam Chameleon Wall Hanging

craftster Foam Chameleon Wall Hanging

When I saw the chameleon I was totally amazed – especially because it contains also a secret compartment!

Well, it doesn’t go with my room, but who knows…
;-))

Camera as Flowerpot

Photojojo Camera as Flowerpot

What a great idea to plant old cameras!
I still have some and old lenses, some of which are broken and I don’t need them anymore, but I can’t part with them.
Perhaps I shouldn’t and instead plant them.
Hm, on the other hand I have a brown thumb, it can therefore get difficult to plant them.
;-))

Junk Jewelry

flickr abscraft Junk Jewellery

Such a pin from old plastic bottles and the like can look really cute, can’t it?

Now I’m debating with myself on whether I should collect these, too.

Dutch Spiral Necklace

unikatissima Dutch Spiral

I don’t like the necklaces in Dutch Spiral technique soo much, but I tried it out to see how it is.
In principle it’s nothing else than tubular peyote (instructions see below) where you work a bead loop in one place.
Because I didn’t like the very broad loop part with 18 beads in the instruction I only used 6 beads per loop.
Well, I like it and I was especially amazed again about how I get lost in the always similar moves and how much this relaxes me.
Perhaps I will make another looong necklace, just to relax ;-))

Crocheted Bruges Lace

Ars Una Species Mille Crochet Bruges Lace

I’m planning for a certain time to try crocheted Bruges Lace but found it always a little old fashioned – until I saw amongst others the photos.
Oddly enough I don’t find them old fashioned at all ;-)

I then researched a little further and found a most beautiful little cap and a very impressive opera coat.

Well, we will see.
And if it doesn’t work I will make a scarf from ;-))

Tea Dyed Doily Scarf

Tea Dyed Doily Scarf

I must confess that in fact I like to crochet doilies – but I don’t want to have them, because I don’t have a clue about what to do with them ;-).
That’s perhaps the reason why I like so much putting together things from squares or the like ;-))

Well, now I can make me such a doily scarf ;-)
I think that you can very well hand-dye it with tea or coffee.

Polypolygon Tilings

Steven Dutch UW Polypolygon Tilings

They look great, those tilings, don’t they?
You can find even more on the site, one more beautiful than the next.

I thought that they can excellently be used for quilting, but also for multi colour knitting, -crochet, -beading – in short for everything that you can do with filet crochet/cross stitch embroidery charts.

I mentioned before that I don’t quilt, therefore I don’t have any experience.
If the quilting wasn’t possible I’d be glad getting a comment on why this should be so :)

Otherwise: let’s get to work ;-))

Beaded Stamp Pins

Aunt Mollys Beaded Stamp Pins

There are soo beautiful stamps, why not make a little piece of jewelry from them?
One way is the already presented lamination, another the beading of stamps.
And with a little more thought I will get other ideas as well ;-))
