Polymer Clay Paint Fill-Ins

PCPolyzine Polymer Clay Paint Fill-Ins

Again a wonderful idea: stamp little polymer clay tiles, cure, dye and afterwards sand away dye excesses.
In principle it’s the same as my carved candle holder, only there I pressed polymer clay into the crease and cured it a second time.
I think that dye is more ‘sand-friendly’ ;-))

Peyote Medaillon Beads

unikatissima Peyote Medaillon Beads

While surfing the internet I found this necklace and found it amazing.
I thought that it should be easy to made: you make the mdedaillons with flat round Peyote (see links below) just as for the bottom of the beaded bottle, but then you work the pattern back again.
This way you get a slightly thicker medaillon in place of a flat disk.

Unfortunately I’m not so good concerning colours and so I’m not really satisfied with my own medaillon (see photo).
Perhaps I should have printed and coloured in one of the graphs (see links below) to use this as template?!
One day I really will do this ;-)

Modular Rectangular Box

Rosemary Lyndall Wemm Modular Rectangular Box

I find those rectangular folded boxes absolutely great!

Unfortunately I discovered them too late, but if you haven’t begun yet (oops! ;-)), they are great for an Advent calendar, too ;-)
But take your time, I once made an Advent calendar from similar, but square boxes (instructions from a book) and it took foreeever to finish it.
I use it nearly every year though and it is still beautiful ;-)

And apart from that you can still use them for the Christmas gifts, I think that it would look wonderful, too :)

Modern Advent Wreath

Recyclart Modern Advent Wreath

Ok, ok, this ‘tealight holder’ isn’t meant as Advent wreath, where you light a(nother) candle every Advent Sunday but it would fit very well, wouldn’t it?
Perhaps one should lay some evergreen boughs aside… ;-))

unikatissima Steckdose I tried it with one of our multiple sockets and it simply didn’t look good because I couldn’t insert the tealight deep enough into the sockets because of the noses inside, so I will go back to a traditional Advent wreath this year again ;-)

Quick Bag from T-Shirt

unikatissima T-Shirt Yarn

Actually I prefer photo tutorials to video tutorials because I can look at photos as long and close as I want, but I find the instruction for a quick bag out of a t-shirt so great that I wanted to present it anyhow.
The way she’s making it it really takes only five minutes to make from the t-shirt a nice bag where the flap still can be embellished, e.g. with embroideries, but also with Freeform pieces crocheted extra for the flap or bead embroidered Paisleys or crochet squares or (paper) flowers or whatever you can think about ;-))

(By the way, I ‘nicked’ the photo from the entry T-Shirt Yarn ;-))

Positive-Negative Card

unikatissima Positive-Negative Card

While searching my instructions I found Positive – Negative Pumpkin! back and thought: ‘Yes, that’s exactly right for a snowman’.
It’s cute, isn’t ist??

unikatissima Positive-Negative Card
You need a coloured card for the background, white paper, pencil and scissors (or X-acto knife).
I always need an eraser, too ;-))

unikatissima Positive-Negative Card
First I trimmed the paper to the right size.
I left a small border to the edge of the actual card because I like it better this way.

unikatissima Positive-Negative Card
Then I sketched my snowman.
I made a PDF file (~ 55 KB) from my snowman template, so you can make your own snowman card :))

unikatissima Positive-Negative Card
Here I just layed the elements out – they still have to be glued on.

unikatissima Positive-Negative Card Finally I pricked two holes in the card left and right of the neck and pulled two threads of wool through, that I knotted under the snowman’s ‘chin’.
I still like him everytime I see him ;-))

Wire from Plastic Bottles

wikiHow Wire from Plastic Bottles

I presented some instructions already where plastic bottles are ‘processed’.
I find this here remarkable anyhow because she shows how to make a wire from a plastic bottle!
