Wire Wrapped Hardware

craftydaisies Wire Wrapped Hardware

When seeing this tutorial on how to make jewelry from hardware store stuff I feel the urge to drive to the next hardware store immediately and rummage around.
But I will stay strong and wait until the next occasion.
Or perhaps I just sneak off to my basement…
;-)))

Sketches for Cards

pagemaps Card Maps.jpg

I presented before a website where you can find card sketches.
This time it’s a website which shows sketches for cards, for scrapbooking and more.
Some of them are soo beautiful!
What I like most are the added photos which show how you can realize the sketched card.

Bauble – Knitted Bead Cuff

unikatissima Bauble.jpg

I found at knitty the instruction for the knitted bead cuff ‘Bauble’ and really liked it.
Therefore I wanted to knit at least a bit to see how it looks.
Because I don’t have any bigger beads at the moment I used some left over paper beads.
But I didn’t manage to knit the bead string at all.
I really must try it again when I’m a little more untroubled because I really find Bauble beautiful!

Tea Light Holders

unikatissima Tea Light Holders

Ok, slowly the days become lighter but you can always do with a nice tea light holder.
In the instruction on how to make a tea light holder form corrugated cardboard they are meant for Halloween, but by simply selecting other colours you can actually fit them to everything.
Because you have to wrap the tea light several times I think that they are quite robust.
I already have prepared my stuff ;-)

Necklace out of Laddered Stockings and Tights

Smaggle Stockings Necklace

If it’s cold outside I confess that I often wear tights and when they become eventually laddered I always find it a pity to throw them away.
And I won’t in the future because I found an instruction on how to make a necklace out of laddered stockings and tights ;-))
At the moment I’m still wearing them at my legs, but soon…
;-)

Celtic Cross Stitch Generator

celticxstitch Celtic Alphabet.jpg

As Tharena said in the comment the page isn’t accessible anymore – and unfortunately I haven’t found another one ;-(

Something nice again for filet crocheters, cross stitchers, illusion and pattern knitters etc.pp: a generator with which you can create two coloured patterns in a celtic appearing alphabet.
Ehm, this could have been said in a more complicated way, I think, but not much more ;-)))

As always: Best try it yourself!

Shisha Stitch

PinTangle Shisha Stitch

I found a tutorial on how to sew on Shisha mirrors in the blog which is the sequel of In a Minute Ago.
The best of this technique is, that you can use it to sew on other items, too, such as coins e.g.
I really must try it sometime.

Lamar Scarf

unikatissima Lamar Scarf

Via ravelry I found the instruction on how to make the Lamar scarf which I find great!
On the photo you see the beginning of the scarf I’m knitting at the moment (that’s all I’ve knitted for now ;-))).
She made her scarf in a chunky, soft yarn, I’m using thickish (about needle size 5) acrylic yarn.
Usually I’m knitting much too loose, my knitted scarves are mostly quite see-through and they have to be wound several times around a neck to warm.
This here will stand alone when finished ;-))
But I’m knitting it for myself and therefore I can live with it – anyhow I find it beautiful.
By the way, I’m knitting it in black, but I fiercely post-worked the photo to show more than just a black shape ;-)

Spinner

Laurie Gatlin Spinner

Today I present a tutorial on how to make a spinner tutorial on how to make a spinner, which actually is meant for an Altered Book, but which can be used as well for a greeting card.

You can e.g. make a card for Valentine and write ‘I love you’ in different languages or make a gift coupon card with pictures of different plants and the beneficiary may select one of them, etc.
