Crafting with Glasses

a patchwork world Crafting with Glasses

I had a discussion the other day about all the stuff I simply can’t throw away – and then I found a tutorial about crafting with glasses. She makes beautiful pins from old glasses.

There you go! ;-))

By the way: I personally won’t craft with old glasses, because I found it a better use to spend glasses to people who can’t afford them.
This discussion takes also place at the tutorial and after having read it I think that funkylicious has a point: Those who craft with old glasses can do charity in so many ways.

Heart Pendant

While surfing I found again a tutorial on how to make a freeform trinket. I like it very much (I love Freeform ;-))
And doesn’t it look great?

I must rummage again through my beads ;-))

Moroccan Purse

I always like looking for Origami tutorials and this time I’d like to present a tutorial for a little purse.
I know those purses from former times, they were made from leather. I had one, and soon I will make one from paper ;-)
Thinking about it, it must look great, if you use coloured magazine paper?! I have to try this.

Coiled Paper Basket

I wanted to present a tutorial on how to make a paper bowl from paper stripes, there are lots of them.
With such a craft you can do with my tutorial on how to fold paper strips of equal width ;-))

Have fun rolling and glueing!

Spool Knitting

Project Gutenberg Spool Knitting

I’m browsing from time to time Project Gutenberg and found last time a book about spool knitting from 1909. They have mittens, bed shoes, a baby ball and much more, all made from I-cords.
It feels to me like a book from the 70th’s ;-))

Perhaps I do a little rummage to play with my knitting spool once more ;-)
