Map Bag

This bag isn’t for, but from maps ;-)

I like this idea, too: fold a potholder, sew together and embellish and you’ll have a padded eyeglass case.
However, if I think about a previous ‘very simple’ sewing project I’m sceptical whether I will be able to make it so easily ;-))

Well, I’m not a good sewer, but I’m sure that with the tutorial for the non-rectangular magic bag even I can sew a bag.
I find the tutorial great! :)

By the way, the bag on the picture was sewn quick and dirty during the lunch break, just to see whether it works ;-)

Doesn’t the bag look great?
There’s even a short instruction (actually it doesn’t have to be longer ;-)):
They are putting a cardboard into the bag so that the dye don’t bleed through to the back side, then they start to doodle the first item with a black fabric pen (washable!), after this the next item and the rest happens all by itself.
They say that the doodling is completely relaxing and that also children have much fun with it.

A Zentangles bag surely would look wonderful, too ;-)

I busied myself with ‘needle weaving’ before, it was about a necklace and I’ve said that it would be suitable for little purses.
And – ta-da – I’m finding a tutorial on how to weave a purse with it.
