Beaded Square Stitch Heart

unikatissima Bead Square Stitch Heart

Because it’s not long to Valentine’s Day any more I’d like to offer a template for you to bead a heart with square stitch (for instructions on how to do the square stitch see links below).
It’s great to make a card but can be made into a piece of jewelry as well.

Tablet or Card Weaving

unikatissima Tablet Weave Card Weave

There’s a technique I haven’t tried yet although I have on my list for a very long time, and that’s tablet or card weaving.
It’s a very old technique I learned to know first in Museumsdorf Düppel, the reconstruction of an 800 year old village.
With card weaving you can make soo wonderful straps, similar to Kumihimo (but only similar! ;-)).
I’m at the point ‘already’ where I looked for some instructions (see links below) ;-)

Say It With Photos

unikatissima Say It With Photos

It’s not long anymore until Valentin’s Day. If you don’t know how best to show your love to your sweetheart let you inspire by the article ‘Valentine’s Day Photo Ideas’ at photojojo.

I just begun with taking a photo from my glass heart, perhaps I’ll make photos from me and my friend and give him the three pictures as message.
Perhaps I won’t ;-)))

Quilling

unikatissima Quilling

Quilling is quite foreign to my nature, but I wanted to try it at least once.
For me that’ll do, as you can see on the photo my fingers are way too clumsy for this ;-)

Some of the quilling objects look really beautiful, therefore I thought that I should present it anyhow.

Crayon Encaustic

A long time ago I found an instruction for encaustic for poor.
On the photo you see one of the tries I made – I like it ;-))

I think that I will have to do it once more.

I stll have some old cassettes I don’t listen to anymore. But because I’m always reluctant to throw anything away I’m thinking of making some purses from the cassettes by following the tutorial at craftster ;-)

Not your Mama’s Rubber Gloves

oilclothaddict Rubber Gloves

I don’t like rubber gloves because they 1. don’t feel good and 2. look silly.
Now I can do something against the silly look by following the instruction on how to revamp rubber gloves.
Because I haven’t found anything yet against the first point, I think that I won’t never try them, but I found them great anyway :)
