Heart Pendant

sonyastyle Heart Pendant

While surfing I found again a tutorial on how to make a freeform trinket. I like it very much (I love Freeform ;-))
And doesn’t it look great?

I must rummage again through my beads ;-))

Paper Bead Bracelet

Paper Bead Bracelet

Once I saw the beautiful paper bead jewelry at newspaperjewelry.com and was stunned. Then I found a tutorial on how to make a paper bead bracelet at craftster.org with some really good ideas, e.g. to fix the paper beads with hair pins or to coat everything with modpodge.
Just another item on one of my to-do-lists ;-)

Peyote Bangles

Peyote Bangles

As I saw the tutorial on how to make Peyote Bangles tutorial on how to make Peyote Bangles I bookmarked it immediately.
It seems to be so easy (although this technique seems only to work with slender bangles) – just the right technique for me ;-))
There is another tutorial for stripes bangles tutorial for stripes bangles – looks also great.

Beaded Beads

Beaded Beads

Every beader wants to try a beaded bead sometime.
It isn’t easy to figure out by yourself how to do this, so I want to present several links which show how to bead different beads from beads.
Ehm… ;-))
The beaded beads on the photo were all woven by me around a bigger bead inside.

Knotted Fabric Buttons and Beads

Knotted Fabric Buttons and Beads

I mentioned previously crocheted buttons, beaded beads, paper beads and fabric beads.
Another way to make your own buttons and/or beads is knotting fabric.

On the photo you see my first attempt on this technique: I admit that I still have to work on it ;-))
It is tiny (about 0,5 cm / 0.2 inches) and was made from a very light fabric that frayed heavily. I thought that this could look interesting, instead it looks unfinished.
Back to the drawing board ;-)

Beaded Dragon Strap

Beaded Dragon Strap

Today I’d like to present a beautiful Peyote strap with saw teeth, Sally’s Dragon Strap.
To work a Peyote strap is ‘easy’ (for tutorials see links below), but following this pattern is more difficult and figuring out how to add those saw teeth is great ;-)

Wrap a Rock

Wrap a Rock

Embellishing rocks seems to be quite popular. Some people paint them, some people embroider them, some people felt them, some people wrap them in lace, some people wrap them in polymer clay, some people crochet them and some people bead them.
And if you want them to be fragrant, check back the previous mentioned Fragrant Rocks.
I never did anything with rocks, because I’m living on sandy ground ;-)
But all those rocks rock ;-)

Loom Woven Bead Bracelet

Loom Woven Bead Bracelet

When working with beads I also wanted to try loom weaving – just to see, how it works ;-)
On the photo you can see both sides of my self-woven bracelet with a self-designed pattern. It was very easy and I like the simple elegance of the pattern.
Because I created the bracelet for me, I didn’t need a closure, I can simply slip the bracelet over my hand.
