Quick & Easy Bead Loom

unikatissima Quick Easy Bead Loom

Recently I wanted to bead loom two patterns of my random squares pattern generator and needed a bead loom for this.

unikatissima Quick Easy Bead Loom I’ve completely forgotten about the tutorial that I presented for my other bead bracelet (well, the entries pile up :)) and simply wound my thread around a cardboard fruit dish and just started.
The advantage is that I have plenty of thread to weave in after cutting the threads on the back of the dish.
And if you don’t have a cardboard fruit dish I’m sure that you can use a box of chocolates, too ;-)
I didn’t need to make little notches with my cardboard fruit dish because it was rough enough, but with a box of chocolates I think it would be better, just as described in the tutorial.

And that’s it.
I haven’t woven in all threads and have no closure yet – I can’t decide.
It’s done with the random squares pattern 1 further below.

unikatissima Quick Easy Bead Loom And here I began another one that I make with the random squares pattern 2 further below.

Woven Silver Wire Ring

craftster Woven Silver Wire Ring

I find this ring most beautiful, it is braid from five strands of two silver wires each and the beads are attached at the ends.
Simply yet striking.
Is seems that it looks also wonderful if braided from copper wire – there was some copper wire laying around here somewhere…
;-)
By the way the braiding with five strands doesn’t seem to be very difficult.

Beaded Leaves

craftster Beaded Leaves

These leaves are a kind of Peyote leaves and they are called ‘Russian St. Petersburg leaves’.
She made the tutorial because she didn’t find any – I find that great!

Ehm, I did find another tutorial (just in case) ;-)

If the leaves are called ‘Russian St. Petersburg leaves’ then I think that they are supposed to be made for the St.Petersburg necklace – that stands to reason, doesn’t it? In any case they would match wonderfully.

Braided Bead Rainbow

Alexis Braided Bead Rainbow

A long time ago I’ve found the instruction for the braided bead rainbow but when I wanted to present it here at some time the website didn’t exist any more.
So you can imagine how glad I was when I found it back accidentally! :))

So now also for you to make it ;-))

Dutch Spiral Necklace

unikatissima Dutch Spiral

I don’t like the necklaces in Dutch Spiral technique soo much, but I tried it out to see how it is.
In principle it’s nothing else than tubular peyote (instructions see below) where you work a bead loop in one place.
Because I didn’t like the very broad loop part with 18 beads in the instruction I only used 6 beads per loop.
Well, I like it and I was especially amazed again about how I get lost in the always similar moves and how much this relaxes me.
Perhaps I will make another looong necklace, just to relax ;-))

Beaded Stamp Pins

Aunt Mollys Beaded Stamp Pins

There are soo beautiful stamps, why not make a little piece of jewelry from them?
One way is the already presented lamination, another the beading of stamps.
And with a little more thought I will get other ideas as well ;-))
