Paper Purse

craftster Paper Purse

I really like this little purse!

The content she put into the little purse isn’t meant for children but no one will press-gang you to pack the same things ;-)

You can find a scan of her template a little bit down the entry, with this you can make your own little paper purse – as gift wrap or for daily use is completely up to you ;-))

Fantastic Pop Up

Libros Pop-Up Books Cards Fantastic Pop Up

This time I find the title absolutely convenient: I find this pop up really fantastic!

Note: The PDF links can’t be reached anymore, apparently amongst other things because of copyright infringements.
After all we have to buy the book ourselves :)

Foldover Card

I find the principle behind these cards fascinating – and the one on the photo most beautiful!

And then I even found an instruction!

At the next opportunity I want, too! ;-))

Origami Architecture Patterns

Baud and Bui Origami Architecture Patterns

I find Origamic Architecture fascinating and presented some time ago already the Origamic Architecture pencil holder, now I found more (although mostly very simple) Origami Architecture patterns which can easily be used for little greeting cards.
I could surf the internet for hours and check – partly really spectacular – Origamic Architecture ;-)

Self-made Envelopes

the knitted blog Self-made Envelopes.jpg

Now there lies a lot of gift wrapping paper around at most of our homes and we have to think about what to do with it.
One possibility is to make envelopes from it – if it’s not too Christmassy then there’s no problem and if it is, then it’s great for the next year, after all Christmas always comes completely surprisingly ;-)
For me at least ;-)

Iamond Lantern

mathpuzzle Iamond Lantern

No, no, ‘iamond’ is no typing error, these things are called like this and are nothing else than shapes composed from equilateral triangles.
Here somebody went the (for me crucial) step further and made nice lantern diagrams from.
I still must find out whether they really can be used as lanterns.

The paper lampshade on the other hand is also made from nearly equilateral triangles.

Seven Flower Pop Up Card

unikatissima Seven Flower Pop Up Card

Recently I needed a Birthday card. I wanted to make something with a bunch of flowers and then remembered the Seven Flower Pop Up Card.

It was easily made, it just took a little bit time.
I used some pages from a bedclothes catalogue where the colours matched as paper ;-)
And I suggest to read the instructions thoroughly: First I glued the whole petals together and then the bunch of flowers didn’t open.
Luckily I could take everything apart and then I glued only the tips of the petals together.

unikatissima Seven Flower Pop Up Card With pop up cards I always find it difficult to decide what to make on the front of the card.
But here I didn’t have any problem: I simply made two more flowers that I didn’t cut but glued on the card. Some dashed lines with a felt tip pen – and the card was done.
As well the sender as the receiver are very satisfied with the results ;-))

Wallpaper Gift Wrap

I mean to say that the photo convinced me that wallpaper as gift wrap is eminently suited!
And if you went in cardmaking a little bit, too, you surely still have same wallpaper rests laying around ;-)

Modular Rectangular Box

Rosemary Lyndall Wemm Modular Rectangular Box

I find those rectangular folded boxes absolutely great!

Unfortunately I discovered them too late, but if you haven’t begun yet (oops! ;-)), they are great for an Advent calendar, too ;-)
But take your time, I once made an Advent calendar from similar, but square boxes (instructions from a book) and it took foreeever to finish it.
I use it nearly every year though and it is still beautiful ;-)

And apart from that you can still use them for the Christmas gifts, I think that it would look wonderful, too :)
