What a cute idea: Before going for a walk you take a piece of tape around your wrist (sticky side at the outside! ;-)) and while walking you stick on a lot of beautiful leaves and flowers.
When you’re coming home you have a wonderful nature bracelet.
She seems to have done this in springtime but the fall leaves also look great.
And by the way you can cut open the tape at home and use it for a card ;-))

If you have necklaces you can always do with something to hang them up, as e.g. the mini dress-form jewelry stand.
That’s something you can use the wonderful bust for.
But it is also something very special if you want to sell jewelry.
Incidentally I think that you can craft it a little smaller if you need a gift wrap or sales wrapping for your necklace.
If the bust is made as greeting card the necklace can directly be send with it!?

Create a Fancy Flower Card
Sometimes it would be great, if you could enter your own hand writing by keyboard, e.g. when creating greeting cards.
You have the chance now: you print a form, enter the appropriate letters, scan the sheet and upload it at fontcapture.
Then you should get back your handwriting as font.
I didn’t let make it yet because my handwriting is so botched at the moment that I don’t want to get it ;-))
As a matter of principle you should be able to ‘put a lot on the keyboard’, even little sketches.
I really have to try it on occasion!
‘Whitewash paper’ sounds strange, but that’s exactly what she does in her tutorial with the decorative paper: she tints stripes of the decorative paper so that the original pattern shows through.
I find it very elegant.
I think that should be possible with gesso, too (as are so many other things: Wow!) – but I still have to try it out.

Recently I needed a birthday card and that is the reason why I played around with stencilling again ;-)
I wanted to have a negativ stencilled feather and sketched and cut therefore a feather.
Here I’ve made my first tests already.
I covered my feather with light brown chalk and smeared the chalk with my fingers outwards.
This way I got white areas around my stencil which made the quill of my feather much too broad for my liking (see arrow).
Therefore I cut two half-stencils and used them.
It worked great!
Another advantage of this half-stencil method is the fact, that the really narrow quill of my feather can’t slip or even tear anymore.
I glued a cut-out feather shifted on my stencilled feather and because I thought that something is missing, I embroidered some lines with golden thread.
I used a running stitch back and forth as I always do.
That’s how the inside of the card looks – I left it this way and wrote on the right side of the card.

And that’s how the finished card looks: I liked it ;-) and the adressee liked it, too :)
Admittedly the card looks still a little bumpy here because I fixed the chalk with hair spray. After everything was (really!) dry I put it under a heavy book and afterwards it was beautifully flat again.

Once I’ve seen pictures of beautiful postcard boxes (that I don’t find back, unfortunately ;-() and I always wanted to make some.
Up until now I haven’t found the time but now that I even have templates for them, it should work somehow ;-))

A friend showed me the Puzzlemaker and now I’m using its online generators from time to time to relax(!).
But it’s also fun to make birthday cards from them for friends who like puzzling ;-)

I find the Japanese name translator really great, I simply let output the name Susann in all possible fonts ;-)
I’m not yet sure what to do with them but nothing could be easier than to turn them into filet crochet/cross stitch embroidery charts and then we’re really going to get started with knitting, crocheting, embroidering, knotting, stencelling etc ;-))
Or I print them as signature next time on a greeting card.
Or I cut a stamp from it.

DIY Photo Silhouette T-Shirt
I find the idea to make a photo of your children, to make a silhouette stencil from the photo and then to print it on a t-shirt great – but a too narrow approach ;-):
Why not making a t-shirt with your own name in Japanese?
Or using the silhouette of a well known building (i.e. the Eiffelturm)?
And why only on a t-shirt, why not on a linen bag, a greeting card or quite large on the wall?
And why as a stencil, why not simply as a self-cut stamp?
Or as fabric appliqué?
Well, I really must think about what else can be done this way ;-)
