Button Collage Necklaces

craftster Button Collage Necklaces

Even if the ‘pendants’ don’t really match my liking, I find the idea and the workmanship really great!
In fact she only wrotes as ‘instruction’: “I don’t really have a process on
how I make them it’s a trial and error thing.

That means that it is my part to realize something to my liking – as necklace, as earring, as pin and so on ;-))
And I have already some tutorials for buttons ;-)

Rack from Clothes Hangers

Haus+Garten Rack from Clothes Hangers.jpg

I simply don’t know why I’m so about racks at the moment, especially because I don’t need any.
They seem to be extra ‘susceptible’ to creative treatment ;-))

I, for one find the rack from clothes hangers fun :)

Inspired by Trash

art-e-zine Inspired by Trash

This is a page from a creative diary (‘journal’), but I would love it as a collage, too!

Today I have not to do with a tutorial but an inspiration, especially with regard to ready-bought material versus material ‘saved’ from the trash.
When I’m visiting craft stores – especially the paper and scrap book sections – I’m often disgusted by the commerce that rules the originally creative use of trash.
The author shows in her article what wonderful and unique things can be made with material found a little bit everywhere by keeping your mind open.
I persevere in my attempt to emulate her ;-)

Coffee Filter Pompoms

pamgarrison coffee filter pompoms

Don’t they look beautiful?
These pompoms are all made from coffee filters – and it seems to be quite easy.

In addition I’ve found a tutorial for a necklace from coffee filters which I also found great, even though I’d prefer it as a pin ;-)

But I wouldn’t know where to put such decorations ;-))

Fabric Bowl

imagine fabric Fabric Bowl

Doesn’t this fabric bowl look beautiful?
And it seems to be quite easy to make (although I often underestimate such things ;-)).
Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it just as the other clothesline fabric bowl because my sewing machine still can’t make the zig zag stitch.

T-Shirt Necklace

cucumbersome T-Shirt Necklace

I presented already some tutorials with t-shirts, this time it is about making a necklace from the t-shirt (the link isn’t available no more, but she presents a tutorial for a recycled t-shirt bracelet which is done similarly).
When I heard it first I thought: ‘That’s silly’ but the photos convinced me that it’s not ;-)

And if you don’t have a t-shirt at hand take some old stockings ;-)

Postcard Boxes

Craftster Postcard Boxes

Once I’ve seen pictures of beautiful postcard boxes (that I don’t find back, unfortunately ;-() and I always wanted to make some.
Up until now I haven’t found the time but now that I even have templates for them, it should work somehow ;-))
