Crayon Encaustic

unikatissima Crayon Encaustic.jpg

A long time ago I found an instruction for encaustic for poor.
On the photo you see one of the tries I made – I like it ;-))

I think that I will have to do it once more.

Poor Man Side Flash

unikatissima Poor Man Side Flashunikatissima Poor Man Side Flash

The instruction on how to make a poor man side flash is really great!
I just made a very quick try. On the left photo you see an indirectly flashed glass and on the right photo a directly flashed glass.
I find the result convincing, especially because I 1. didn’t pay anything for it and it was 2. a very, very quick try!
(The more so as you don’t see so good at the indirectly flashed glass that I didn’t dried the glass too well at the last washing up ;-)))
This indirect flashing is similar to my entry Taking Photos from Jewelry.

I found a Japanese website (translated) where you can download photo frames to be printed and fold by yourself. Some look really nice, I find.

Sketches for Cards

pagemaps Card Maps.jpg

I presented before a website where you can find card sketches.
This time it’s a website which shows sketches for cards, for scrapbooking and more.
Some of them are soo beautiful!
What I like most are the added photos which show how you can realize the sketched card.

Bauble – Knitted Bead Cuff

unikatissima Bauble.jpg

I found at knitty the instruction for the knitted bead cuff ‘Bauble’ and really liked it.
Therefore I wanted to knit at least a bit to see how it looks.
Because I don’t have any bigger beads at the moment I used some left over paper beads.
But I didn’t manage to knit the bead string at all.
I really must try it again when I’m a little more untroubled because I really find Bauble beautiful!

Tea Light Holders

unikatissima Tea Light Holders

Ok, slowly the days become lighter but you can always do with a nice tea light holder.
In the instruction on how to make a tea light holder form corrugated cardboard they are meant for Halloween, but by simply selecting other colours you can actually fit them to everything.
Because you have to wrap the tea light several times I think that they are quite robust.
I already have prepared my stuff ;-)

Spinner

Laurie Gatlin Spinner

Today I present a tutorial on how to make a spinner tutorial on how to make a spinner, which actually is meant for an Altered Book, but which can be used as well for a greeting card.

You can e.g. make a card for Valentine and write ‘I love you’ in different languages or make a gift coupon card with pictures of different plants and the beneficiary may select one of them, etc.

Extreme Origami

unikatissima Extreme Origami

I always like to surf the net a little bit for ‘Origami’ and today I want to present two extremes: Instant Origami and the video Origami In the Pursuit of Perfection.
I had a lot of fun with the first (there is a frog, a dragon, a box and much more ;-)), the latter left me speechless, although it’s ‘only’ an advertising movie.

Let yourself inspire!

Mini Recycle Bin Books

erinzam Mini Recycle Bin Books

People who craft a lot with paper often have many interesting papers laying around, but mostly scrap you can only make cards from.
But now I found a tutorial on how to make mini recycle bin books, which I find great!

Soon I will have to comb through my piles ;-))
