Make your own pralines

I’m beginning to think about making an advent calendar.
This time I’d like to wrap some self-made pralines which is the reason that I searched for recipes.
Wow! Again there exist gazillions of links, you can find some links below.
On the photo you see a ‘Coconut Kiss’, the recipe can be found at craftster. It seems to be simple and delicious, I put it on my list ;-)

I’ve seen those boxes in shops and was therefore amazed to find a tutorial on how to make a washi box.
This box stands quite high on my just-try-it-list ;-))

Ice Cube Cozies

craftster organizes challenges on a regular basis, one of them was the Craft Challenge #30 – Cozies WITH Irony.
Personally I liked the Ice Cube Cozies best, but make sure to check also the others, like An Irony Filled Tea Cozy or the Brrr… Antenna hat!.

But I don’t think that I will put any of those cozies on my that’s-what-I-really-have-to-do-list ;-))

I found a very inspiring ~~tutorial on how to make backgound stamps~~ tutorial on how to make backgound stamps.
I say inspiring, because she shows photos of her beautiful backgrounds.

At my Artist-Book I could have done with the stamps, instead I stamped every single diamond.
But it was great, too ;-)

Making Positive Plaster Moulds

I always wanted to make moulds from plaster but I never quite knew how to. At craftster I found now a tutorial on how to make positive plaster moulds.
I’d like to begin casting the stone, so that I eventually have something to wrap, paint or bead.
Or I try it first with half a cork, I think that could be a nice pendant.
Somewhen ;-)

Paper Mache Bowl

Again I found a tutorial for making paper bowls. I found the bowls nice but not the way I wanted them.
Therefore I glued three, four layers of white tissue paper on using wallpaper glue – the ‘quite normal’ paper mache technique.
I really like this bowl, although I should possibly paint it.

Cut Quill Pens

I like to write with pens, but never had a ‘real’ quill pen. With the tutorial on how to cut quill pens I can try it – as soon as I get to know a swan or a goose personally (poor me, being a city kid! ;-))
