I planned to begin the year neat and clean…

I never sewed much but I think that I could try something new in the new year.
Perhaps I should design my own sewing patterns? ;-))

Sometimes you must be allowed to do something else than crafting or needlework, so why not reading a mystery that concerns in some way crafting or needlework?

Today is Christmas Eve where there’s not a lot of time for crafting, therefore I wanted to present something that I found most hilarious: the literal music video versions.
There they change the lyrics to describe what’s happening in the video.
I had a lot of fun with :)) although I’ve never been interested in music videos.
My personal highlight is Meat Loaf: Literal Video Version (Anything For Love) – so wonderfully crazy ;-)))
(To avoid misunderstandings: I really like Meat Loaf and Anything For Love!
And this video, too ;-)))
By the way I found the video via an article in Spiegel where they present more of these videos.

I presented the origamic architecture pencil holder before, here something for people who don’t like it so fiddly: a pen holder made from a plaster-filled crisp bag.
I like the idea :))

I presented already the necklace bust and the mini dress-form jewelry stand, now here another just as well idea: a plaster board with cast in doll arms.
It get’s more and more difficult to decide where to put your jewelry, doesn’t it? ;-))

Lately two ideas crashed in my head and I like the result ;-)
One was the eraser stamp, the other the repeating patterns.
I marked the size of my eraser on paper, designed there a pattern following the technique of the repeating patterns, carved it from my eraser (it was mirrored but that’s no problem with this pattern) and begun stamping.
It is great to make repeating patterns on cards or the like, but when I’ll need to stamp a bigger area I’LL prefer to use the rolling pin print (here and here).

I found the instructions for Q-Tip snowflakes utterly funny, perhaps you’ll like it, too :)
Besides you can use them as (tree) ornaments ;-)

Ok, ok, today is Saint Nicholas, but here the show is already over, the boot wasn’t only filled but emptied already and life goes on.
And to let it go on neatly (at least concerning sewing) the bobbin holders from spiral binders can help ;-))
So in case that you still have to sew something for Christmas everything should go more easily now :)

Such a chocolate covered spoon would be great for St. Nicholas boots (the day after tomorrow!), wouldn’t it? ;-)
And if not you can make them with chocolade rests from Christmas, later (yes, there are families where chocolade rests remain ;-)).
