Plaster of Paris Beads

firstpalette Plaster of Paris Beads

Cute, isn’t?
A great idea to simply colour in plaster of Paris and to cast it in ice cube moulds to get funny plaster of Paris beads.
The jewelry you get this way is more durable but not as refreshing as the ice jewelry ;-)
And if you nevertheless prefer to crochet you don’t have to colour in your plaster beads but can instead wrap them in crochet ;-))

Crazy Lace Cardigan

Stitch Diva Studios Crazy Lace Cardigan

Amazing! A tutorial or rather a recipe on how to make a cardigan (or another piece of clothing) where you don’t have to sew and that particularly can’t get boring because you change the pattern every couple of inches following your own gusto – Crazy Lace.
I really consider trying it ;-))
But then I’d prefer The Incredible, Custom-fit Raglan Sweater as base.

There you find a PDF file where the following cardigan patterns from ravelry are mentioned:
Anthropologie Inspired Capelet DK Weight that linkes to the blog entry My First Sweater: An Adaptation and
Catherine’s Mini Cardi where there’s a direct download of a PDF file (~ 295 KB).

Paper Rolls Wall Art

recyclart Paper Rolls Wall Art

If you haven’t decorated your walls already with the yarn wall art you may want to try the paper rolls wall art ;-)
And if it’s not quite your cup of tea, you can make from your toilet paper rolls e.g. simple napkin holders, a cord holder, recycled gift tags and/or a hairpin lace loom ;-))

Fabric Inchie Collage

dotslifeandart Fabric Inchie Collage

I told before how you can make matching, but not equal paper inchies*.

Here she shows how to make wondeful fabric inchies.
It must be a lot of fun.

* What is an inchie? An Inchie is a 1″ square of art. They are made from paper or fabric and then embellished in innumerable ways (see links below).

Bead and Wire Cuff

craftster Bead and Wire Cuff

Doesn’t this cuff look most beautiful?
I like best that there are as well empty as well ‘well filled’ spaces and that there are many little beads but this big eye-catcher as well.
She also describes how you can make it yourself – great, isn’t it?

Colourful Safety Pins Bracelet

I Am Momma - Hear Me Roar Colourful Safety Pins Bracelet

I really like the colourful safety pins bracelet!
I find it more interesting with the safety pins than the paper bead bracelet where the paper beads are hold together from elastic alone.
Making paper beads really is simple, especially if you use a (self-made) paper beads roller.
You can even give the paper beads a slightly different form if you like to or make the beads from fabric.
However, it’ll be an interesting and beautiful item ;-)

A propos: If the style of the bracelet seems familiar look here ;-)

Needle Woven Purse

craftster Needle Woven Purse

I busied myself with ‘needle weaving’ before, it was about a necklace and I’ve said that it would be suitable for little purses.
And – ta-da – I’m finding a tutorial on how to weave a purse with it.
Well, I’m ahead of the times ;-)))

Crocheted Plastic Wind Chime

Kristinas Welt Crocheted Plastic Wind Chime

I wrote a couple of entries already that should help to prettify a garden (although I don’t have any ;-)) (see links below).
And I have several entries for making stuff from plastic bags, mostly bags.
So I like the idea of taking yarn from plastic bags and making plastic bag garden decorations quasi twice as much ;-))

The automatic translation isn’t very convincing but I think that it doesn’t matter: simply crochet items from plastic yarn, connect them and hang them in the garden as wind chimes.
