I must confess that in fact I like to crochet doilies – but I don’t want to have them, because I don’t have a clue about what to do with them ;-).
That’s perhaps the reason why I like so much putting together things from squares or the like ;-))
Well, now I can make me such a doily scarf ;-)
I think that you can very well hand-dye it with tea or coffee.

They look great, those tilings, don’t they?
You can find even more on the site, one more beautiful than the next.
I thought that they can excellently be used for quilting, but also for multi colour knitting, -crochet, -beading – in short for everything that you can do with filet crochet/cross stitch embroidery charts.
I mentioned before that I don’t quilt, therefore I don’t have any experience.
If the quilting wasn’t possible I’d be glad getting a comment on why this should be so :)
Otherwise: let’s get to work ;-))

I have the tutorial about using Organza on polymer clay on my list for a long time already – but not yet tried.
After having no time to work with polymer clay for quite a long time now, I don’t want to buy some liquid polymer clay.
Nevertheless…

Recently I presented the quick bag from a t-shirt, the pillowcase tote is of the same kind.
If you don’t really like both, I have already presented several other bags, purses and totes, I’m sure that there is something for you ;-)

Hm, at the end of the year they say that one must tidy up a little to have a good start into the next year.
What about making a scrap quilt to work up all those little left-over pieces of fabric from the different projects?
Or can’t you finish a quilt that fast?
;-)))

On the photo is one of the first Beaded Art Dolls I’ve ever seen and it impressed me deeply.
I always wanted to make one but haven’t had the time yet.
Up until now I only made my freeform bead embroidery ;-)
But I looked for ‘Bead Art Doll’ already ;-)
In doing so I found a mermaid and a butterfly craftalong (in a craftalong several people work on the same project and compare notes). Furthermore I found a most beautiful bird, a blog entry on the subject of ‘Beaded Art Dolls’ and several wonderful finished Beaded Art Dolls, where I like most the Wise One and the little Alien Doll.
If you want to make one, too, you can get patterns for the dolls here.

I don’t quilt, although it’s hard for me not just to try it out. I simply don’t have the place.
Anyhow I found this very simple way to make heart appliqués very simple way to make heart appliqués inspirational.
Perhaps just one try…?
At least a little bit?
;-))
By the way, I don’t find the stamped appliqués very orthodox, too ;-)

Well, I guess that it’s too late now to finish the Christmas Snow Flower Quilt before Christmas, but 1. you can’t begin too soon when quilting (and in a manner of speaking it’s close to Christmas 2010 ;-)) and 2. they have much more patterns on the page not only holiday patterns :)

Recently I presented an ornament from mini wool skeins, I like these here, too: made from cardboard and decorated with beautiful paper or fabric.
What do you think? :))
