I didn&#8217;t know if I would use them ever more.<br \/>\nTherefore I figured out how to make my own mosaic stones from plaster and wrote a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creadoo.com\/Content15501\">German tutorial<\/a>.<br \/>\nI&#8217;m giving here a translation, see some photos at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creadoo.com\/Content15501\">German tutorial<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to make your own mosaic stones:<\/strong><br \/>\n<em><strong>You need:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plaster<\/li>\n<li>(Rectangular) plastic lid<\/li>\n<li>Water<\/li>\n<li>Brush<\/li>\n<li>Paint as used in school<\/li>\n<li>Vinegar<\/li>\n<li>Finish<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>What to do:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\nMake plaster following the instructions and cast a thin layer. The consistency should be yoghurt-like and the layer not thicker than 3mm \/ 0.07 inches.<br \/>\n<em>Note:<\/em> Use the plastic lid of a margarine jar for casting.<\/li>\n<li>After hardening paint the plaster cakes with the paints.<br \/>\n<em>Note:<\/em> The cakes must have become hard, but they don&#8217;t have to be dry when painting.<\/li>\n<li>After the cakes are dry (about one day) coat with the finish.<\/li>\n<li>Then break the cakes into mosaic stones.<br \/>\n<em>Note:<\/em> This can be done in an irregular way, but you can also score the cakes and then break in square or rectangular pieces.<br \/>\n<em>Note:<\/em> The scoring of the cakes can best be done when the cakes aren&#8217;t dry.
