{"id":2007,"date":"2009-04-03T08:00:29","date_gmt":"2009-04-03T07:00:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/unikatissima-e.riamore.eu\/?p=2007"},"modified":"2009-03-20T10:06:31","modified_gmt":"2009-03-20T09:06:31","slug":"plastic-bottle-beads","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/unikatissima.riamore.eu\/e\/?p=2007","title":{"rendered":"Plastic Bottle Beads"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a name=\"top\"><\/a><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"..\/uploads\/unikatissima Plastic Bottle Beads a.jpg\" alt=\"unikatissima Plastic Bottle Beads\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignleft size-medium\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"links\"><a href=\"#li090403\"><strong>Links of entry<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<p>There remained some leftovers from our cut plastic bottle, from which we already made a <a href=\"?p=1997\">knitting loom<\/a> and a <a href=\"?p=2001\">plastic box<\/a> and we can use them to make some beads.<br \/>\nIn the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.instructables.com\/id\/Plastic-Bottle-Beads\/\">instruction on how to make plastic bottle beads<\/a> they roll up the plastic strip and melt it together with a heat gun.<br \/>\nI don&#8217;t have no heat gun and I&#8217;m a little afraid of possibly developing fumes, therefore I did it in a different way:<\/p>\n<div class=\"clearboth\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"..\/uploads\/unikatissima Plastic Bottle Beads b.jpg\" alt=\"unikatissima Plastic Bottle Beads Material\" width=\"200\" height=\"174\" class=\"alignleft size-medium\" \/> I brought water to the boil in my craft pan (which I don&#8217;t use for food preparation anymore!).<br \/>\nThen I cut a stripe from the plastic bottle and rolled tightly using some tweezers.<br \/>\nLook out, it always try to uncoil!<\/p>\n<div class=\"clearboth\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"..\/uploads\/unikatissima Plastic Bottle Beads c.jpg\" alt=\"unikatissima Plastic Bottle Beads\" width=\"200\" height=\"151\" class=\"alignleft size-medium\" \/> I hold the rolled &#8216;bead&#8217; with my craft wooden pliers (also not used for food preparation anymore) into the simmering water and in seconds the bead was finished.<br \/>\nI don&#8217;t know if I could have coloured the bead with permanent markers, I&#8217;ve forgotten to test this.<br \/>\nBesides the end doesn&#8217;t fuse with the bead, but it doesn&#8217;t open neither.<\/p>\n<div class=\"clearboth\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"..\/uploads\/unikatissima Plastic Bottle Beads d.jpg\" alt=\"unikatissima Plastic Bottle Beads\" width=\"200\" height=\"160\" class=\"alignleft size-medium\" \/> Because it always wanted to uncoil I hold it quite firm with my wooden pliers and the bead became a little flat.<br \/>\nPressing it in the other direction and dipping into the simmering water again didn&#8217;t make the bead round.<br \/>\nBut 1. I like the <a href=\"#top\">shape<\/a> and 2.
