They are made in an interesting and easy way with Window Colours*, but of course you can do this with translucent polymer clay as well.<\/p>\n<p>* Window Colours are those glass paints that come in plastic bottles and can be used on acetate, I don&#8217;t know the exact English name.<\/p>\n<div class=\"clearboth\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<p><strong><em>That&#8217;s how they do it:<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n(see images on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bastelfanatiker.de\/windowcolour\/mosaik%20wico.htm\">instruction site<\/a> for better understanding)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You make from the glass paint a layer of about 1&nbsp;mm on plastic foil and let it dry thoroughly. <\/li>\n<li>When dry and not sticky anymore (after about 3 days), you cut it in mosaic pieces.<\/li>\n<li>You can glue now the pieces on glass (with Modpodge e.g.).<\/li>\n<li>Fill the little gaps between the mosaic tile with tile filler (follow the instructions).<\/li>\n<li>Afterwards you can cover your glass with varnish to make it shine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One day then&#8230; Sigh.<br \/>\n;-))<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"li090111\"><\/a><br \/>\n<em><strong>Links:<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bastelfanatiker.de\/windowcolour\/mosaik%20wico.htm\">Mosaik mit WindowColour (German)<\/a><br \/>\n<font color=\"white\">votive<\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Links of entry I found an instruction on how to make glass table lights with translucent mosaic.
