\nKnit a beautiful Estonian lace inspired shawl on the 24 days of Advent, every day a little bit.
\nIn case that you don’t need a shawl simply make it a tablerunner :)<\/p>\n

The picture just gives you an idea of what you will knit but (hopefully ;-)) don’t spoil the surprise.

About the pattern:<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. This year the pattern is designed lengthwise symmetrical and not meant to be repeated in height but its width is variable.<\/li>\n
  2. The pattern is
    \n\t* a multiple of 12 + 19 stitches including edge stitches and
    \n\t* the total length are 438 rows.<\/li>\n
  3. If you want
    \n\t* to make it broader\/narrower simply adjust the number of repeats;
    \n\t* to make it shorter
    \n\t     – use smaller needles and\/or
    \n\t     – finer yarn and\/or
    \n\t     – knit less loose;
    \n\t* to make it longer
    \n\t     – use larger needles and\/or
    \n\t     – thicker yarn and\/or
    \n\t     – knit more loose.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    About the finished items:<\/h3>\n

    Please bear in mind:<\/em><\/b> the size always depends on your gauge and also on the way you knit – I’m always knitting very loosely.<\/p>\n

    For the tablerunner<\/b> (red)<\/a> I<\/b>
    \n\t* knitted 5 repeats with
    \n\t* about 290 m red cotton crochet thread (100 g ca. 580 m)
    \n   (290 m are about 318 yards – 580 m are about 635 yards)<\/em> with
    \n\t* 3,5 mm needles (US between 3 and 5)<\/em> and
    \n\t* got a tablerunner of about 25 x 130 cm (about 10 x 51 inches)<\/em>.
    \nDepending on my daily energie I knitted a daily pattern section in appr. 25 min.<\/p>\n

    For every placemat<\/b> (red)<\/a> I<\/b>
    \n\t* knitted about 140 m red cotton crochet thread (100 g ca. 580 m)
    \n   (290 m are about 153 yards – 580 m are about 635 yards)<\/em> with
    \n\t* 3,5 mm needles (US between 3 and 5)<\/em> and
    \n\t* got placemats of about 27 x 39 cm (about 11 x 15 inches)<\/em>.
    \n\tI knitted a placemat in appr. 3 hours 25 min.<\/p>\n

    For the shawl<\/b> (rose)<\/a> I<\/b>
    \n\t* knitted 5 repeats with
    \n\t* about 441 m rose acrylic lace yarn (100 g ca. 900 m)
    \n   (441 m are about 483 yards – 900 m are about 985 yards)<\/em> with
    \n\t* 4 mm needles (US 5-6)<\/em> and
    \n\t* got a shawl of about 37 x 124 cm (about 15 x 49 inches)<\/em>.
    \nDepending on my daily energie I knitted a daily pattern section in appr. 40 min.<\/p>\n

    For the scarf<\/b> (bordeaux)<\/a> I<\/b>
    \n\t* knitted 2 repeats with
    \n\t* about 606 m acrylic yarn (200 g ca. 665 m)
    \n   (yarn weight similar to sock yarn)
    \n   (606 m are about 663 yards – 665 m are about 727 yards)<\/em> with
    \n\t* 4 mm needles (US 5-6)<\/em> and
    \n\t* got a scarf of about 22 x 165 cm (about 9 x 65 inches)<\/em>.
    \nDepending on my daily energie I knitted a daily pattern section in appr. 20 min.
    \nNote:<\/em> The scarf was knitted with an early (and not so beautiful ;-)) version of the pattern. The number of stitches\/rows is however the same.<\/p>\n
